About Us

Welcome to the Blog for the City of York Branch of the Embroiderers' Guild

We are an enthusiastic group of stitchers who meet on the first Saturday of every month (except August) at The Folk Hall, New Earswick, York.  (Postcode YO32 4AQ).

Everyone is welcome from beginner to expert.

Our regular Saturday morning needle workshops run from 10.00 - 12.30 and are informal and friendly - just pop in. At the same time we run a Stitch Club for those wanting to learn or to stretch their skills.

The Branch meeting takes place from 2.00 - 4.00 and features guest speakers, national and local, from a variety of backgrounds - please refer to the programme page for more detail.

Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Members pay £2.00 on the door at each meeting. Annual membership is currently £54.00 per year (2018-19). Membership of the branch includes membership of The Embroiderers' Guild. Members also have the opportunity to take part in Day Schools which are arranged throughout the year.
